  • Shot on the Sony FX3, chosen for its exceptional image quality and lightweight design, allowing for greater flexibility during production.

  • Photography: All still images featured in and related to the project were personally captured on the Sony a7iii, adding an extra layer of creative control to the visual narrative.

This project demonstrates my ability to bring a vision to life from conception to execution. Through careful direction and thoughtful cinematography, "What Remains" serves as a poignant commentary on the human experience, our impact on the environment, and the consequences that follow. Through careful direction and thoughtful visual storytelling, this short film invites viewers to reflect on their own relationship with nature and the lasting impact of their choices.

I've always been fascinated by how much you can say without actually saying anything. So I played around with photos - layering them, burning them - to tell a story. No words needed.

As someone who loves making art, I got really into the idea of telling a complicated story just through pictures. It was cool to get my hands dirty, literally moving photos around and seeing how that changed the whole feel of the piece. Mixing photos, performance, and video was a new challenge for me, and I loved seeing how destroying something could actually create something new.

In the end, I hope "What Remains" helps people understand each other a bit better. Maybe it'll make you think about your own life, or how we all fit into this world. That's what I was going for, anyway.
